Riqueza Cultural is made at Tequila Selecto de Amatitán, NOM 1459, in Amatitán, Jalisco, in the lowland Tequila Valley. It is 100% blue Weber agave cooked in stone and brick ovens, crushed on a roller mill, fermented with spring water in stainless steel tanks, and double distilled in stainless pot stills, bottled at 40% ABV. The decanter is a ceramic eagle warrior, one of the three Mexica military orders the brand's warrior series honors alongside the jaguar and the serpent. Mexica soldiers wore armor bearing those three emblems, and in that symbolism the eagle represents sovereignty of the skies, so the eagle knight bottle is the most upright and feathered of the three. Each piece is molded and hand painted by Mexican artisans with a matching ceramic stopper, and the hand finishing means no two bottles carry identical detail. Riqueza Cultural makes its decanters in small runs, so a particular warrior often disappears for months before another batch arrives. The tequila inside is the house aged style, soft and oak-rounded with the cooked agave still present, built to be sipped neat. It is a centerpiece bottle for a home bar.
